For no other foundation. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is [already] laid,which is Jesus Christ[the Messiah,the Anointed one]

The apostle Paul reminds the Roman brethren that as new converts they need to be fed and nurtured, in order to become fellow workers[joint promoters labourers together]with and for God,to be able to build on the foundation which is Christ the Lord.He reprimands them about the strife and envy in their lives,and urges them to work together in order to receive their own reward according to their own work. Paul by the grace of God, as the Master Builder laid the foundation on which each one of them has to build in order to win the reward laid up for them in heaven, and tells them that if their work endures,they indeed will receive that reward.
